in Liechtenstein

We have the right location and production coordinator in Liechtenstein to suit your needs. Whether you are a foreign correspondent looking for a journalist fixer to expedite your work or you are in charge of a corporate video.

Liechtenstein is located entirely within the Alps, between the nations of Austria and Switzerland. Film locations of note include mountains, green meadows, forests, rivers, lakes, and medieval castles. The greatest side to it? Liechtenstein is one of the world’s smallest countries, therefore all locations can be reached within a 30-minute drive.

Vaduz

Located on the Rhine River, the capital city of Liechtenstein is home to Vaduz Castle and Cathedral and Square. You can also see the Schalun Castle ruins, Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, The National Museum, and the Red House. The Wine Cellar of the Prince of Liechtenstein, the Old Bridge and the Landtag Parliament Building are also here. Our location scout can show you their notes and up-to-date pictures of appropriate locations and our production coordinator in Liechtenstein can help you see how your creative vision will come to life in a particular backdrop.

Gutenberg Castle

Sitting atop a steep hill above the small town of Balzers, Gutenberg Castle is one of the two principality’s five castles that have not fallen into ruin. It is not open to the public, but our production coordinator in Liechtenstein can arrange for a private visit. It was owned and restored by Egon Rheinberger, a wealthy architect, sculptor, and painter from Vaduz. He drew on elements of past architectural styles to create an idealized version of the castle which was used as a set in the 1934 film ‘William Tell’.

Malbun

Malbun is the only ski resort in Liechtenstein. It is located 1,600 meters above sea level in the Alps, less than 2 km from the Austrian border. It is serviced by 3 chair lifts. At the top of the eastern lift, you have a breathtaking view of the alpine ridges of both Switzerland and Austria. It is an interesting place to be reporting about winter sports or skiing schools, our journalist fixer believes. During summer, make sure to check out Gänglesee alpine lake.

Ruggell

The most northerly and low-lying municipality in Liechtenstein, Ruggell has an incredible casino, an impressive history museum, and a beautiful park that our location scout can help you discover. Ruggeller Riet Nature Reserve covers 90 hectares of lowland moors, ponds, hedges, trees, and litter meadows where one can find many endangered animals and plants. The spectacular blossom of the Siberian iris in late May and early June is an annual highlight and covers large areas of the nature reserve in a carpet of blue.

 Triesen

Our location scouting has uncovered a few interesting small businesses in Triesen. A must-do when visiting is to go on a hike with llamas and alpacas. You can also visit Telser brewery and see how they distill whiskey. St. Mamerten Chapel and its wineries, dating back to the 9th or 10th century, are located on a hill with beautiful views of the surrounding areas.
